Printing on Leopard with Lightroom
For those photographers out there that are running Lightroom on Leopard and are still struggling with Lightroom’s print quality (or lack thereof), be sure to keep tabs on this post from Adobe’s Tom Hogarty over at the Lightroom Journal. After scanning through the post — which boils down to ensuring that your printer drivers are up-to-date — it wouldn’t hurt those who are afflicted to post what results you’re seeing with your prints.
If you do leave a comment, be sure to include the following information to help the Lightroom team whittle down the problem:
- which printer (both make and model) & driver you’re attempting to print with,
- and whether or not you are able to produce colour-corrected prints from Photoshop/Camera Raw on Leopard.
Just remember to keep things civil; posting your “Lightroom is broken” diatribe won’t accomplish anything positive. And for the Mac users who are lucky enough to still be running Tiger, your best bet is to hold out on a Leopard upgrade until this situation is resolved. The Lightroom team is hard at work and hopefully the kinks will be ironed out quickly.
