For this recipe Angela uses the following controls found in Lightroom's Develop Module: Temperature, Tint and Saturation adjustments in the Basic pane; Camera Calibration; Lens Vignetting in the Lens Corrections pane; and tonal adjustments in the Tone Curve pane. Shown below is the image before she does anything to it.

Step by step, Angela:

1. Sets a custom temperature (12500) in the Basic pane which warms up the image and then a minor upward adjustment to Tint (+19) to soften the warmer temperature setting,

2. Then she drops the saturation down from 0 to -74 to give it a black and white look. She didn't completely desaturate the image because she wanted some color left for tinting in the Camera Calibration pane.

3. She uses the Camera Calibration pane controls to create the sepia toned look. The Tint slider is used to control the amount of magenta in the image, which adjusts the intensity of the sepia coloring. The Red Primary sliders fine-tune the sepia coloring and the Blue Primary sliders adjust redness and overall brightness of the image.

4. She applies Lens Vignetting from the Lens Corrections pane to create drama in the sky.

5. Finally, she further enhances the drama in the sky by adjusting the Lights and Darks sliders n the Tone Curve pane. Decreasing the Lights slider brought out cloud detail and increasing the Darks slider lightened the building detail. The Shadows slider was slightly adjusted to get the right tone in the darker areas of the image
