iPhone Activities @ Macworld

Headed to Macworld? There are number of iPhone-related talks and events taking place at and surrounding Macworld this year. This is liklely not a complete list, but I provide some of the items that stand out. This information is collected from the Hess Memorial Macworld Expo SF 2009 Events List, the Macworld 2009 site, and Upcoming. If there are other iPhone-related activities taking place, please comment on this post and share with the readers.

Tuesday 01/06/09

The big keynote, walking the expo floor, and parties. This is the most packed day of the entire conference.

9am-10:30am. Moscone Center - West Hall. The Keynote. Apple's last Macworld keynote...ever. While Steve won't be giving the address this year, join Phil Schiller, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing, Apple...if you're lucky enough to have a keynote pass and are willing to queue up in line by 7am. While iPhone announcements aren't out of the question, expect at least a status update on iPhone sales, international roll-out, and perhaps a few app demos.

11am-6pm. Walk the Expo Hall. Tuesday is the best day to score giveaways, as supplies run low towards the end of the week. Although, the expo floor is open all week. There are plenty of iPhone exhibitors this year - from Ambrosia Software to zCover and everyone in between. Don't expect many iPhone app publishers (they're here, just not exhibiting en masse), but there will be plenty of iPhone case manufacturers.

12:30pm. Peachbit booth #812. Terri White, author of The iPhone Book, Second Ed.. Book signing.

3pm. O'Reilly booth #S2210. David Pogue, author of iPhone, The Missing Manual (and countless other books). iPhone talk.

6:30pm-9:30pm. Jillian's (Metreon, 101 4th Street). The Macworld Finale Bash. Hosted by MacRumors and iPhone Alley. Sponsored by Delicious Monster.

7pm-9pm. Apple Store San Francisco (One Stockton Street). CocoaHeads Meeting. Mike Lee presents Pimp My App 2.0, a talk about iPhone user experience.

7pm-11pm. Harlot (46 Minna Street). iPhone Intelligence Party. Celebrate the success of the iPhone platform. Sponsored by ngmoco:), Freeverse, Demiforce, Aurora Feint, and MotionX (by Fullpower). RSVP requested, although open to the public. I am hosting this party, so please come up and say hello!

7pm-1am. Fluid Ultra Lounge (622 Mission Street). iSkin Annual Macworld Party 2009. RSVP required. Sponsored by iSkin.

Wednesday (01/07/09)

11am. Wiley booth #537 South Hall. Andy Ihnatko, author of iPhone Fully Loaded, 2nd Ed.. Meet the author.

3pm-4pm. Location unknown - look for signage in Moscone. Macworld Magazine's Best of Show Awards.

5pm-6pm. Gateway Ballroom, Room 102. IDG Macworld Town Hall Meeting. A town hall meeting hosted by IDG World Expo to discuss the future of Macworld. Show up and make your voice heard.

5pm-8pm. House of Shields (39 New Montgomery Street). @griffintech Tweet Up. Sponsored by Griffin Technology.

6:30pm-9pm. Six Apart (548 4th Street). Japan iPhone App Developer Special Media Event. Learn about the Japanese iPhone market from Japanese media and developers. By invitation only, although you can request one.

Thursday (01/08/09)

4pm. User Group Lounge #250 South Hall. Ted Landau, author of iPhone Under the Hood. Meet the author.

Friday (01/09/09)
