Since the OS X platform that powers the iPhone shares a lot of concepts and even APIs with Mac OS X, a Mac software developer is very well positioned to make iPhone software. Undoubtedly, the iPhone is a great technology platform, but any aspiring iPhone developer should be aware of a couple of important issues from the business perspective. Because of those issues, I believe any commercial iPhone developer needs to look over the fence and I will certainly do that and share my findings. You may also hear why being an iPhone user in Europe is a bit different from being an iPhone user in the states.
