After reading the Java and C# books. I am a huge fan. I love your style.

I would like to see the following books:

New Media would be a major area. Final Cut would be excellent. Making Movies would be a bit higher but still excellent. Programming New Media (ala Mark Guzdial - Georgia Tech) would be wonderful.

thanks!
John

Here's a question I ask myself. Why is it that the "Introducing ..." series (see introducingbooks.blogspot.com) seems to work so much better for me than the Head First books?

Looking for advanced math. Is that Brett jammin' on the acoustic?

Here's a question I ask myself. Why is it that "Ted" (see http://blogs.oreilly.com/headfirst/2009/02/whats-coming-in-2009-for-head.html#comments) posts a comment here when he's so much better off somewhere else?

> Looking for advanced math. Is that Brett jammin' on the acoustic?

My thought was "I wonder if he's going to play the solo from the single or the album", swiftly followed by realizing I'd taken in none of the voiceover since starting to ponder this issue.

Short Cut Beatles, anyone?!

Oreilly has been a little late to the party with any really new titles on the WS topic for nearly 6 years and since it appears that JAX-RPC is on its way out of the upcoming JEE 6 spec (in favor of the much better JAX-WS spec), perhaps "it is time" for a new title in this space?

and on another topic, how about -
Head First ASP.NET 3.5

Thanks,

Mark

What happened to the Head First Programming (python) title?

What I would like to see is Head First VB.NET and Objective C...

It's great you got all these titles coming out but it seems you still have a big hole in your programming books. I currently go to Full Sail University one of the top 5 game development schools in the country and We have a ton of game company reps on our school board that keep our material update and current with what's being done in the game programming field and while we do cover C# and I'm have your C# book which is great the majority of what we do is in C++ and I would love to see a C++ (Visual Studio) book that goes into great detail. Also a good book on Data Structures thats not bland, but useful like recursing graphs and things for AI. Also a DirectX and OpenGL book would be awesome too. One thing that I have struggled with that I think you guys could cover is not just the Math(Physics,Linear Algebra) but apply it to game programming and make it easy to understand most Game Math books throw in these rediculous hard to understand formulas that unless your a math major won't understand making it harder to try and program. So a book that combines game physics and C++ would be great(you could probably combine that with directx) Also something that would be a great companion to your C# book would be a book on XNA. I would even like to see a book on Win32 I've only ever found one book on Win32. Anything with C++ and game programming would be Awesome please hear our cry's for C++ PLEASE.

Greetings from a big HeadFirst fan.

Here is a title that would be a best seller:
How to Make Money on the Internet!

It would explain the basics of
finding a niche,
creating or finding a product for that niche, writing sales copy,
building a simple site with a squeeze page, using FTP to get published,
setting up an autoresponder,
getting traffic using adwords,
other traffic methods,
testing sales campaigns, and
small chapters on publishing a blog or using facebook or another social site to increase traffic.

The book could even concentrate just on affiliate marketing and use O'Reilly and Safari books in the examples.

This book can point to other books (such as HTML and CSS) for detailed information, and just provide basic info (such as creating a simple website with a squeeze page to capture contact info.)

With the economy the way it is, you know this will be a best seller. Plus, you will be doing your part to help the economy!
Michele
