Out and about this week, I noticed a flier advertising a free and open forum on Wednesday December 12th titled Totally Wired: How Technology is Changing Kids and Learning.

From the description:

Are digital media changing how young people learn and play? A public forum featuring Howard Gardner (Harvard Graduate School of Education), Henry Jenkins (MIT), and Katie Salen (Parsons School of Design), hosted by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, as part of its $50 million digital media and learning initiative. The panel will be introduced by Jonathan Fanton, MacArthur President, and moderated by Connie Yowell, MacArthur's Director of Education.

Wednesday, December 12, 2007
5:30-7:00 pm
Brattle Theatre
40 Brattle Street
Cambridge, MA 02138

And additional information can be found by going to the MacArthur Foundation.

Now I know that the Head First fans are far flung, heck even the people who work for Head First are far flung :) But I'll be in attendance, as this is a topic that is of particular interest. I'll post a review of the discussion sometime next week.
