Sounds of Crashing Hard Drives
That's all it is. Links to recordings of hard drives crashing.
If I have to explain why that's cool, then I can't. If not, then I don't have to.

Thanks.
The links seem to be working for me. Maybe your hard drive is broken, and so when you play the files, you aren't hearing anything unusual.
Or maybe my hard drive is broken, and I'm not actually hearing the audio files at all, just ambient crashing.
links are now bad

Sometimes failure sounds more interesting than success, eh?
David "Cycling '74" Zicarelli once pointed out two electronic music genres that reflect that. Techno (I forget the exact subgenre he mentioned) has to do with precision and repeatability — the hallmark of machines working "correctly." Whereas glitch has to do with the breakdown of the machine and all the entertaining surprises that brings.
These could serve as great sound clips for a horror flick for geeks.
