Micing a Yoga Session

My brother asked me how to record a yoga session...given that the instructor moves around a lot during the lesson. After several emails it turns out that there was no video. Which changes everything.

So I writes back as follows:

Wait a minute, no video?

Get an H2, it has a little handle you attach to the bottom. Build a poofy cover for that handle out of pillow stuffing, so that there's no handling noise, and follow her around, keeping 1 foot from her face.

The other foot can go wherever you like.

Another idea, given the H2's camera tripod socket, might be to attach a monopod (or even a broomstick with bolt in the end) and use it like a movie boom mic.

Speaking of DIY, I've been meaning to build this H2 shockmount.
