German OS X Developer Conference Debuts
Sometimes, small events deserve some blog coverage well beyond their target audience's locale to make sure that the word gets out. One such event is Macoun, a new one-day conference aimed at OS X developers, which will debut in Frankfurt, Germany, on 25 October.
According to its organizers, Macoun aspires to be a conference that is open to anyone who is interested in developing for the OS X platform, as well as an opportunity to network with like-minded fellow-Mac-programmers.
Presented by a select group of experienced Mac developers, who have volunteered to share their knowledge for free, the topics planned to be covered in the event's sessions include OpenGL, memory management, DTrace, localizations, the iPhone SDK, and more.
The Macoun conference provides a great opportunity for German-speaking OS X developers, who don't have the funds or the time to attend WWDC in California, to enjoy high-quality training on all things Obj-C and Cocoa, and it may also help intensify the community spirit among local Mac developers.
The admission fee to Macoun is 40 Euros and you can register for the event via the Macoun website.
(Full disclosure: O'Reilly is the media sponsor of the Macoun conference.)

Jochen:
I agree. That's why I am so fond of the low entrance fee: this should allow basically any Mac programmer to participate in the event regardless of their budget and, thus, strengthen the OS X developer community in the area.
P.S.: Is that name really so popular? I never noticed... ;)
The german Mac developer community seems not very organised, so that are really good news.
PS: Jochen seems to be a popular german name. :-)
