OK, I'm a fan of Numb3rs... And, I'm a fan of the PC vs. Mac commercials. So, this promo piece for the Numb3rs TV show really amused me. Figured it might amuse a few of you too.

I truly liked numbers until last week when MARINES were showed in a bad light. i realize that there may be a marine who does bad things, but this story and plot was totally unnecessary - WHY?
It appears from the previews for tonights show that a church will be used in a bad light. I hope not; if that is the story, I will never, never watch this show again. It's too anti-American!
Look, Negative Nancy, let's get some things straight:
1. There is only one mathematician. His friend is a physicist and his hot girlfriend is a post-doc.
2. He's not really a mathematician; he's an actor. Yes, David Krumholtz cannot actually find killers by triangulating their location through an implementation of Hedinger's Uncertainty Principle. He just memorizes his lines.
3. If Numb3rs makes *one* kid not feel like a nerd for liking Calculus, why you gotta be a hater?
Okay clearly you guys are all idiots. It's not just a bunch of random symbols and 'jargon'. look up what he's talking about on google or wikipedia and you'll realize it's all real stuff, and quite fascinating at that.... sigh.. why do I even bother? Just go back to your American Idol and Mtv brain-candy and shut up.
What do that say about me? Love the show :)
@ok
Aint that the truth.
@memals
the premise of Numb3rs is that a bunch of super-intelligent mathematicians say jargon quickly while moving graphics full of symbols appear on the screen in a way that would annoy most people who are not extremely fascinated with either symbols or pseudo-nerds who constantly say jargon.
please explain what the premise of Numb3rs is for the rest of us
