iPhone developer program rejection notes

What happens when you offer free technical support and application distribution for only $99? An oversupply of iPhone developer wannabees and an undersupply of Apple developer support resources. That's my guess at least. If you actually made it into the program, please let me know. I've found rejected online, select, *and* premiere members and not a single confirmed acceptance so far.

On what planet is having too many people clammoring to developer for your product a *bad* thing? Only Apple could fire such a well-aimed shot at their own foot.
