CoverFlow: Even easier

Oh man. What was I thinking. You do not need to use a core surface. The layer from a UIImageView works perfectly well. Updated easier sample code is here.

Can you please share your coverflow port with us? Did you hear back from Apple?

If you cannot share, can you please give us some pointers?

Jayesh,

I ported CoverFlow fairly quickly after the SDK debuted but I'm not sure what details I can share about doing so due to the non-disclosure stuff. I've written Apple and never heard back regarding what I can and cannot post about the official SDK. For now, I have to stick to writing about the open SDK instead.

hi erica

Thanks for simplying this for us newbies. Is there a way of making this work with the official SDK. I have been trying to port it without much success.

Part of the problem (as you point out in your other posts) is that the some of the headers are simply not available. In particular,

* UIKit/UICoverFlowLayer
* UIKit/UITextLabel
* UIKit/UIHardware

Are you planning on putting together a port using the officual SDK ?
