There are some great RIA conferences but if you don't live close to the events it can be tough to take advantage of them. Luckily there are a ton of User Groups (i.e. Adobe User Groups) to bring it closer...
This Thursday I will be joining the MSDN geekSpeak crew to do a live webcast discussing Silverlight and ADO.NET Data Services. Registration is free ...

iPhoneDevCamp 2 has been announced and will be taking place August 1-3rd in San Francisco at the Adobe Offices. The event is inspired by BarCamp, SuperHappyDevHouse, and MacHack, to develop Cocoa Touch and web based applications for iPhone and iPod touch. This follows the first iPhoneDevCamp held at Adobe Systems in San Francisco, July 2007.
So it's just 3 weeks now before the next leg of the Adobe On AIR Tour. I'll be joining up with the crew in Stockholm, Sweden June 2nd to kick off the next 6 cities we'll be visiting and speaking at. If you're interested in attending make sure to sign up now because the events are selling out fast.
2008 JavaOne Conference Highlights.jpg
I'm going to be at JavaOne May 6th-9th and CommunityOne on May 5th. This is going to be the most exciting JavaOne to date for RIA developers. There's lots of great Ajax, JavaScript and JavaFX content obviously. But there's a number or Flex sessions and at least on AIR session which includes a case study.

So the OnAIR Tour Europe has officially begun! I joined the crew yesterday evening in Madrid for tapas in the late afternoon. Today's event was a great kick off, we had just over 200 show up and most stayed right until the bitter end. I think everyone understood most of what we were saying, although I can't be sure I think the number of questions we received was a good indicator that people were interested in AIR, Flex, Flash and Ajax.
I just got back from the AjaxWorld conference in New York last week. Here's my wrap up notes and thoughts on the event. On the whole it seemed very well attended and had some interesting and very packed sessions.

The Flashforward Conference will be held August 20 - 22 in San Francisco, CA. The Flashforward Conference was the first event in the world focused on Macromedia, now Adobe, Flash. The Film Festival showcases talent and presents awards to those leading in innovation and design.

The word is out, Adobe is taking the gang of evangelists, a few other AIR hackers and yours truly across the pond to Europe. We're going to be hitting 12 cities from Madrid to Stockholm this spring and summer. Each event will cover everything from basic AIR development in Flex, Flash and Ajax to advanced topics and cool demos. Like the North American tour I'm sure there will be food and drink provided.

360Flex is right around the corner and a few of us will be presenting on Adobe AIR. We will also have some new InsideRIA stickers that we will be handing out. Want to see the sticker? Click into this post and see it is all its glory.

There's a brand new web conference on the circuit called Singularity. The conference looks like to have great line up of web luminaries already including Derek Featherstone, Molly Holzschlag, Joshua Hirsch and many more. There's a twist to this conference though in that it's online.
