I made a note to myself many months ago to take a look at the Smultron programmer's text editor. Even though I'm quite happy using TextWrangler or Komodo Edit, I'm glad I took a look at this free and lightweight editor. Here's what I found...

LightZone 3.6 is a simple to use photo processing tool that complements the photo editors I use on a day to day basis (Pixelmator and The GIMP). Its powerful Relighting tool and Style presets let me make large dramatic photo changes that might take a dozen steps in a more general purpose bitmap editor.

ActiveState open sourced its Komodo Edit programmer's text editor on March 6. Since it is available for OS X, Windows, and Linux, it is especially valuable to those of us who hop OSes depending on where we are working at the time.
