Last month while on the On AIR Tour in Europe, Dion managed do a quick video chat in Munich. In this interview Dion and I chat about the new things happening in App Engine including opening it up and pricing. The Dion tells us about Google has started hosting the JavaScript files for certain Ajax libraries.

Aptana announced last week they're going to help developers deploy to the cloud, starting with Joyent's hosting services. So now Aptana is helping developers write JavaScript code with their IDE, run JavaScript and on the server with Jaxxer and now deploy their app to the web with the click of a button.

Last week Google released a very interesting hosting environment for web developer, Google App Engine. It's a quick and easy to deploy and host your web app on Google's infrastructure. It's Python only for the time being but that will change soon enough.
