For a long time, I didn't use Aperture's HUDs (otherwise known as 'floating palettes' in all previous applications...) all that often. As time goes past I find myself using them more and more often - especially after Aperture 2 came...

We seem to be on a plateau, software-wise, at the moment. The next versions of both Windows and OS X are bugfix/performance releases (yes, I know it's actually more complex than that!) with a much lesser emphasis on new features...
