Politics and Pictures
I'm here blogging on the last day of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, and I'm running to the Xcel Center to get ready for the final night when John McCain makes his historic speech accepting the nomination as the new leader of the Republican Party.
So because of the lack of time factor I thought I'd post a few of the shots I had taken and processed through Aperture. There is some color and some black and white, the latter converted with the Monochrome Mixer and usually the green filter, although I do find that yellow or orange best yields skin tones when the subject is African American. Back to "normal" next week.
So here they are in no particular order.

I think the last five photos slipped through.
Amazing images Steve! I just listened to you talk about your experiences with the debates on TWiP and it's great to these photos after hearing you describe the chalenges you experienced getting them.
Um, aren't those from the DNC, not the RNC?
Just saying...
Been so busy, i posted a few from the DNC and a few from the RNC. When you're here, there's no disputing where you are politically, but the conventions and people are similar looking, maybe a bit older and less diverse in St. Paul. SS
Hey Steve, thanks for sharing your photos. Very interesting. I just found a feature in the New York Times about photographing the conventions that has some striking images and also explains a bit about how they were taken and what they were trying to convey.
