Photokina

Photokina is rapidly approaching, the largest photo show in the world. Newly-announced cameras such as the Nikon D90, possibly even a few rumoured things like the Canon 5DII.

Two years ago at Photokina 2006 Apple attended for the first time, and announced Aperture 1.5. This time there’s no Apple stand at the show, so we aren’t likely to get any sudden surprises on the Aperture front. :-(

Apple may not be there but I will be, with the International VR Photography Association, stand A050-B051, Hall 9. If you’re in the area, make sure to drop by and have a look at the exhibition of panoramic prints, including a series of gigapixel prints which will be changing over the course of the show.

Next week’s blog post from me may be a day or two late as I’m traveling to Cologne on Monday, hopefully I’ll see some of you there! Otherwise, keep an eye on the IVRPA site as we'll be shooting and uploading panoramas live during the show.
