Okay, not sure if this is just me, my system or my little dark Charlie Brown cloud that is following me around, but when I ask Apple to send me a serial number to open my freshly downloaded Aperture 2.0 trial, they appear to send me an Aperture 1.5 serial number. Bottom line, "Invalid serial number" is all I get when trying to install 2.0. So excited to start playing, yet very frustrated. Any similar problems, or better still, answers? Thanks.

This was a snafu in the download--I think it's been fixed, and you can re-download, but if it hasn't the 2.0 trial serial no. is floating around Apple Discussions.
Steve,
I had the same problem, but Apple fixed the link around 10:00 am EST. If you request another serial number, you'll receive one that is valid for Aperture 2.
p.s. What a fabulous update! I love how they streamlined the GUI, the new adjustments, and the increased speed. And, it arrived moments before I finished my diatribe to THE STEVE about my 24 year history of evangelizing all things Apple.
Cheers,
Ken Seibert
Thanks guys, gotta step out but will update tonight! Can't wait.
Thanks! I had the same problem too.
Had the same problem. Tried for 3 times. Finally go the correct serial number. Good luck.
also, be aware that if you purchase a 2.0 key to activate the trial version, you will not get that key immediately - they are having problems with the Key Generation, and they're "working on it", with no ETA for a resolution, per the guy at Enterprise Support I was transfered to...
has anyone gotten their online serial number that they've paid for? thanks Robert for the heads up on the key generation.
I got the same problem before. It's because you've selected somewhere other than US in the form. It seems Apple wants to give out the trial version to US users first. Before I selected Hong Kong and I got the key for Aperture 1.5 also. Then I tried with country = US, then I got what I want. I worried it's only being released in US only. But now I see the Apple Online Store in HK also selling it, great!
The latest update of aperture 2.1 is asking for a serial #. It's saying "invalid #" when I enter the one that it came with. Any suggestions?? I can't access the program!
