Good News Bad News for Some Aperture Users (10.4.11)
The Good News: Apple has added more supported camera formats to Aperture via Software Update 10.4.11. The Bad News: the Canon PowerShot G9 is not among them.

I was happy to read Ben's post about additional Raw support via the latest Tiger update. Quite frankly, my nonAperture workflow for the Canon G9 is losing its charm. So, I thought for sure I would no longer be staring at gray boxes after today.
Ack!
I know things are pretty busy in Cupertino right now. Maybe for all the hard work that has gone into Leopard, Tiger updates, Aperture, iLife, iPhone, iPods, and everything else, someone at Apple should buy the entire engineering team the perfect gift. Let me think... How about Canon G9s!

Lightroom just updated and added G9 raw as well as PS CS3
This is one area that Apple is sadly lacking and it may make me move to Lightroom.
I was also hoping that the G9 would be added. It is not clear why a camera that is this popular would be omitted. I have provided feedback to Apple.
In the meantime, what is your nonAperture workflow for the G9?

I am also hoping we are going to see Nikon D3/300 support next week. If not this could be an issue for Aperture users and Apple.
Another G9 owner waiting for Aperture support. I looked into converting the files into .dng, but read that it still isn't supported in Aperture without going through a lot of hoops.
What's more frustrating is the fact that the Canon software that shipped with the G9 does not allow raw conversion on a Mac, so I can't even convert the files into tiffs as a short term solution.
To bad they don't have G9 support.
Anyway there's always the RAW.plist hack and I once read that there was a certain .dylib file in the same place that you code change a hex code for native .CR2 support, but this is more dangerous.
