Photo Plus Expo Round-Up
So it's been a week since I got back from NYC and PPE. This is a belated entry because I came back elated but exhausted. It didn't help that it was minus 5 C and snowing here in our home away from home. I've been moving slowly! Anyway, the show was fantastic. Copies of Photoshop Lightroom 2 Adventure were air shipped to the O'Reilly booth at the show and they all sold out. The Tourism Tasmania party Friday night was very emotional for me. A room full of friends, photographers, and industry people showed up and enjoyed good Tasmanian wine and food. We showed Joe Shemish's rough cut of the Adventure video and everyone laughed at Leo Laporte's comments about food and wombats. Adobe's Frederick Johnson and Melissa Gaul were there as were many of the Tasmania team including Peter Krogh, Katrin Eismann, Jeff Pflueger, Maki Kawakita, and Philip Andrews. Bruce Dale got his dates mixed up but showed for the Tasmania Adventure panel on Saturday. Harris Fogel took lots of photos. (Harris, when can we see them?) The O'Reilly people showed their support: Derrick Story, Colleen Wheeler, and Suzanne Caballero. Thank you everyone!
A special thanks to Colleen Wheeler, for showing my daughter Ana (shown here) how to lock her iPod Touch, and then whispering to me the password.
PS I just bought my tickets to fly from Oslo to San Francisco for MacWorld in January. I'll be teaching a two-day Lightroom 2 workshop and helping out at the O'Reilly booth. Stop by!
PSS. Check out this article on the Tasmanian devil. I'm glad we helped. Wish we could do more.
