My First Blog (Ever)
Hello all...
After working in over 75 countries, on the very first day of April, I arrived in Australia for the very first time (I save the best countries for last)... and I am writing my very first BLOG.
What an amazing first couple days -- I could spend a week just printing photos. Marvelous luck yesterday at a boat building school that I stumbled upon as they were steaming ribs for a boat under construction. It led to an invite to a pirate wedding aboard a boat this weekend. How could I refuse that? And at a local cafe in the same small village the proprietor and daughters offered to outfit me as a pirate which is required for anyone attending. Pictures later.... I hope.

Welcome to the world of blogging! Was there any particular reason you chose to post this photo out of the (fill in number here) you took of the rib steaming? Did the steam stand out more?

I'm sure everyone figured this out already, but if you click on the small image Bruce posted with his blog a pop-up window appears with a larger version. And... I watched Bruce select this image from several in the sequence and I saw why he choose it. The composition is nicely balanced and the expression on the mans face is prefect. It's hard to put those things together and in my opinion Bruce is a master at it.

As a previous inhabitant of Tassie...let us know the names of the small towns you frequent when you blog about a photo....who knows it could me somewhere I used to live....love the photo...it makes me kind of homesick.....
