Thanks Mikkel for your kind words and the opportunity to participate in the adventure.

Just thought that I would take this opportunity to inform readers about the two images featured above.
1. Taken on Wednesday the 9th at Bicheno. Bill Stotzner and I had to make do with a shore dive as our planned trip to “The Golden Bommie” had been cancelled due to bad weather. From the Bicheno breakwater we headed out to “Split Rock”. On the way back to the breakwater and almost at the end of the dive (Bill had gone on ahead to hunt down a seahorse) I found myself in the middle of a school of fish. I had only seconds to change my camera settings from flash to ambient (shooting into the sun!) settings – not an easy task with my underwater housing – I ascended a little to minimise the amount of water between me and the school and fired a few shots. This particular image was processed only in Lightroom 2 Beta and was awarded a ‘Silver’ at the Tasmanian Professional Photography Awards.
2. Taken a couple of days earlier (Monday 7th April) on the Tasman Peninsula. Bill and I had decided to squeeze in a morning dive before heading up to Bicheno. We were fortunate enough to be the only divers on the boat which allowed us to go wherever we desired! This is a profile view of a rock formation called “The Thumbs” taken with a D200 with its sensor converted to capture infrared. Although processed in Lightroom 2 Beta some of the fine detail in the rock was edited in Photoshop CS3. The image was awarded a ‘Silver with Distinction” at the Tasmanian Professional Photography Awards.

What an Adobe adventure!
